Seasonably Cool For the Start of Fall

Just a Few Clouds, Low Humidity

Autumn officially begins at 9:54pm and it definitely feels like fall this weekend. The blustery cold front that barreled through the region Friday evening took us from a recording breaking high of 89 degrees Friday to much cooler weather Saturday with highs some 20 to 30 degrees cooler, afternoon temps only from the 50s to around 60.

High pressure takes over the remainder of the weekend with just a few clouds, overnight patchy fog and temperatures dropping to cooler lows generally in the 40s and possibly some 30s in the colder spots. Sunday's highs should move well up into the 60s if not close to 70 with partly to mostly sunny skies, followed by another night of 40s and a continuation of comfortable weather into Monday with an increase in clouds.

With the high moving eastward and the approach of a frontal system, we should see a cool rain develop Monday night or Tuesday and linger as showers if not a thunderstorm with more humidity Tuesday night into part of Wednesday. The seasonable and dry fall weather should return again after midweek.
