A strong storm system in the northern plains will push north and over the next few days. It will push a cold front across the city late Tuesday. As the front approached, showers will develop on Tuesday. A steady rain is likely Tuesday night as the cold front moves through. Rain will end early on Wednesday and colder air will rush into the northeast. Expect chilly but quiet weather through the end of the week. We then turn our attention to a series of weak disturbances that will bring the risk for rain or snow showers this weekend. It's possible one of these weak disturbances could become more developed. We will continue to watch for that possibility. Stay tuned for updates as the week progresses.
