You can catch a glimpse of Leonid Meteor Showers tonight, but you'll need to bundle up to stay warm.

After reaching a high of 50 degrees today, temperatures will fall to 40 degrees tonight under mostly clear skies. The Leonid Meteor Showers are slated to get underway during the predawn hours.

These showers are remnents from the comet Tempel-Tuttle and you can see the streaks high in the sky around the boroughs. The best viewing areas are likely near waterfronts, including Pelham Park and Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, Marine Park and Owl's Head Park in Brooklyn, Inwood Hill Park in Manhattan, Conference House Park and Wolfe's Pond Park in Staten Island as well as Fort Totten Park in Queens.

As for your weekend plans, you want to have a contingency to any outdoor plans you might have. Rain is expected to arrive in the afternoon and carry over into Sunday morning. Dry weather returns on Monday, but more wet weather is expected on Wednesday.

If you have any holiday travel plans, there could be a few showers on Wednesday that could affect your commute. For the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, be sure to layer up. It will be a cold start to the day with highs rising into the upper 40s in the afternoon.
