Rescue efforts continue in Texas as floodwaters keep rising, and people in Louisiana are bracing for the storm to hit them next. As I mentioned on the show last night, the devastation in Texas has brought back memories of Superstorm Sandy when the majority of Republican lawmakers - including Texas Senator Ted Cruz - opposed the disaster aid package for New York and New Jersey. Now, Cruz and others are expecting Congress to approve funding for the Lone star State, though the price tag for clean up and recovery continues to mount by the day. We discuss this and more with the Insiders: Bruce Gyory served as a senior adviser to two Democratic governors and now works at Manatt, Phelps and Phillips. John McArdle served as a long-time spokesman for Republicans in the State Senate. He's now with Capitol Communications.
