BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Police are investigating after a man was slashed at a subway station in Downtown Brooklyn late Wednesday night.

Police say it happened just before 11:30 p.m. at the Hoyt Street station on the 2 and 3 train platform.

Investigators say the victim got into a fight with another man who cut him across the face with a boxcutter.

The attacker ran away, while the victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
