A Brooklyn man faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, for severing his girlfriend's arm earlier this week, the NYPD said.

Yong Lu, 35, said nothing to reporters Sunday afternoon as authorities walked him out of the 72nd Precinct in Brooklyn in handcuffs. He also faces charges for assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Officials said officers had responded to a 911 call of a knife assault near on 55th St. and 5th Ave. in Sunset Park around 12:20 p.m. on Thursday.

That is when they said they found a 35-year-old woman with her right arm cut off and two fingers severed from her left hand.

Police said Lu had repeatedly stabbed his girlfriend with a steak knife.

Doctors were able to reattach the victim's arm and fingers, according to sources.

Sources said Saturday that Lu was apprehended in the Niagara Falls area.

According to the NYPD, Lu and the victim lived together and have a seven-year-old child.
