NEW YORK - "The Band's Visit" and "Harry Potter" shined bright on Broadway's biggest night.

"The Band's Visit" took home the Tony for Best Musical Sunday night.

Tony Shalhoub and Katrina Lenk won for best performance by a leading actor and actress for their work in the show.

"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" won for Best Play.

Glenda Jackson won for best performance by a leading actress in a Play for Edward Albee's "Three Tall Women" and best performance by a leading actor in a play went to Andrew Garfield for "Angels in America".

Actor Robert DeNiro got political in his introduction to Bruce Springsteen's performance, twice uttering an expletive directed at President Donald Trump, earning a standing ovation from the crowd at Radio City Music Hall and censorship from CBS.

A touching highlight of the show featured students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas Highs School in Florida where a gun shot and killed 17 people in February.

The group performed Seasons of Love from "Rent".
