A salute to sailors making the most out of Fleet Week. Some took their time to give back to the community. =
Members of the US Navy joined children at the Red Hook Public Library, Thursday, for story time.
They read several books to the kids and helped them color in their very own Navy medals.
One sailor said she was excited to meet the kids and talk about her job.
"It's always great to go out and spread some awareness of what the Navy and the Marine Corp are all about; we're not just war fighters, we give back to our communities," said Petty Officer 1st Class Gulianna Dunn.
