A Brooklyn winery is busted in the city's first bootlegging sting since 1960.

The Red Hook Winery was raided last week, when state and city officials found it was producing and distributing illegal moonshine and grappa.

Grappa is a potent Italian-style brandy that can contain up to 60 percent alcohol.

Police say they found four unlicensed stills illegally hooked up to natural gas lines and more than 40 cases of illegal spirits.

The winery's owner Mark Snyder was arrested, though his attorney says he believes he had the necessary licenses.
