Good news for M train riders — normal service is scheduled to pick back up Monday at 5 a.m.

On Friday the Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced that work on the Myrtle Viaduct in Brooklyn is finishing on time and on budget.

The project included installation of new tracks, a new third rail and the replacement of all local signal equipment and cables.

Riders will no longer have to rely on shuttle buses and will have access to the full M line, as well as connections to J and Z service.

Residents relocated by the MTA during construction will be permitted to return to their homes and businesses.

The return of the M Line comes at an important time.

Many L train riders are expected to use the M line as an alternate during the L train tunnel shutdown.
