"She was a good kid. Everybody loved her, so I don't know who in their right mind would have wanted to do her like that," Nicole Odom said. "I don't know, and I guess I won't know until this person is caught."

Hours after identifying her daughter's mutilated body, Nicole Odom was pleading with the killer to come forward. Police said Brandy Odom's torso was discovered in Canarsie Park on Monday evening, and her arms and legs were found in another part of the park Tuesday.

"Who? Who could be so cruel to do something like this to somebody? She is a human being, too," Nicole Odom said. "She does have family that loves her. You just took — whoever did this, you don't know what you just took away from me and the world right now."

Police said Brandy Odom's head and naked torso were found face-down and covered with leaves near a pedestrian pathway. Odom had no idea it was her daughter until she saw a news story about a tattoo of the word "chocolate" that was found above the woman's left breast.

"So from then, I picked up pictures of her and I went and got in contact with the 69th Precinct," Nicole Odom said.

She said the last time she spoke with Brandy was a month ago. Her mother said the 26-year-old had received a letter for a job interview with the city. She was trying to become a school safety officer.

"I don't understand how she ended up over there in that park, or who could've put her over there in that park," Nicole Odom said.

Police were back at the park Wednesday after a source said more evidence had been recovered. Nicole Odom said her daughter didn't deserve to die like this.

"Brandy was a lovable, joyful person," she said. "She would've given you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She was good to everybody."

Police are offering a $2,500 reward for any information leading to an arrest.

"This is not a story that if anyone has any information about to just go and keep the information to yourself. Go and tell. Tell somebody. If you saw something, say something," Nicole Odom said. "That's all I'm asking. If anybody can bring me any closure to this case, I will gladly appreciate it. That's the only thing I'm asking."
