After his re-election in the fall of 2017, Binghamton Mayor Rich David gave his fourth state of the city address Thursday.

"Residents chose four more years of action, of progress, and of results," said David.

The mayor highlighted a partnership with the Family Enrichment Network to build a $4.5 million home structure for up to 60 homeless families. The building will be located on the north side of Binghamton.

David also emphasized the city's infrastructure, with the Front Street Gateway Project beginning next month, and the State Street Project beginning in the summer of 2018. The mayor also discussed a new arts district downtown. It would include sidewalks, murals and an updated Forum Theatre.

The mayor also discussed several ongoing green projects that will make the city environmentally friendly, including the continued replacement of city street lights, and a green roof for city hall.
