A local non-profit makes sure veterans feel the love this Valentine’s Day.
The PLG Veterans Assistance Fund held its annual Valentines for veterans event at the Brooklyn Veterans administration Wednesday.
The group handed out hundreds of hand made cards and free goodies to those that visited the hospital.
Organizers said that this is just a small way to show veterans that they are loved unconditionally.
"In such a tumultuous world we live in to have a day of unconditional love where it's just about remembering, honoring, and appreciating out veterans, that's what it's really all about," said PLG founder Molly Levi.
Levi started the event in memory of her late life-partner, Pat Gualtieri, who was a Vietnam vet.
