ROCHESTER,  N.Y. -- The woman accused of biting a Gates Police Officer and claiming that she has HIV faces a maximim sentence of 7 years in prison.

The judge found Kenshara Robinson guilty of second degree assault, grand larceny and petit larceny. Robinson will be sentenced on April 16.

Prosecutors say she bit the officer as he tried to handcuff her in a holding cell last August.

On the stand, the Gates officer said that after Robinson bit him, she yelled that she was infected with HIV and hoped that he would become infected as well. The officer testified that as a precaution, he was prescribed medication which made him sick and led to him missing work for an extended period of time.
