"Allergic to Salad" is hosting a monthly series of seasonal cooking classes at the Queens Botanical Garden. Each class will have a different focus and theme to provide families with tips and tricks to make the most out of fresh vegetables and pantry staples. Instructors say that the class is a great way to get kids to try new foods.

“Many parents come and one of their biggest thing that they say is my kids don't want to try new foods; and that's one of our really big class expectations and really rules that we set. Is that everyone shoudl really try something once before they decide that they don't like it," said Kristen Link who is with "Allergic To Salad."

The class will be held every third Sunday of the month. For more information go to QueensBotanical.org.
