High pressure set the stage for sunshine and cold temperatures as we started the new week.  We should see a nice weather day on Tuesday before a chance for wintry precipitation enters the forecast.

Skies will be mostly clear tonight with cold overnight lows.  More sun is in the forecast for Tuesday with slightly below average daytime highs.

Clouds will increase by Tuesday night as moisture moves back into the area.  With cold air in place, we have a good chance of seeing light snow develop.  Accumulations are expected to be light, however, any snow and ice on local roads could cause travel issues on Wednesday, Wednesday night and early Thursday.  There could be changes in this wintry forecast.  We will monitor the forecast closely and make updates as needed.

After another chilly day on Thursday, we'll begin to see a milder temperature pattern from Friday into the upcoming weekend.
