New York City area airports felt the pain of the messy weather Friday, with hundreds of cancellations and delays throughout the day.

The fog has slowed down travel at JFK Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Newark Airport. Delays of more than five hours long were reported at JFK on Friday night.

The three airports have warned travelers to check with their airline before they come to the airport.

As of 5 p.m. Friday, more than 340 flight delays have been reported at Kennedy Airport, with at least 170 total cancellations.

The latest delays come after travelers faced significant delays last weekend at JFK Airport in the wake of the recent snowstorm.

Last Saturday at JFK, passengers were stuck on planes for hours as they waited for gates to free up. There were also issues with transporting luggage to people.

The next day, an airport terminal took on a few inches of water after a water pipe burst, according to officials.

The wet weather overall Friday appears to also be responsible for power outages throughout the five boroughs:

Queens: 200
