A national burger chain beefs up its presence on the East Coast with a new location in Brooklyn.

Carl's Jr. opened a new restaurant in Coney Island Tuesday. The chain is known mainly on the West Coast. Carl's Jr. has more than 1,300 restaurants nationwide, fewer than ten of them are located east of Oklahoma. Later this month, the chain will open a location in Manhattan, near Penn Station at the corner of 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue. The chain's menu features oversized burgers like the Six Dollar Thickburger and some unique sides like fried zucchini.
