A Watertown man is accused of assaulting a 2-year-old child.
Chance Eisenmann, 20, is charged with second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
The investigation started when the mother brought the child to Samaritan Medical Center with several bruises and red marks on her buttocks.
She told police her child was left in Eisenmann's care, and she said he admitted to her that he hit the child.
The child, who is not being identified, was treated and released.
