After a devastating fire, members of a Brooklyn synagogue are looking to rebuild.

Borough President Eric Adams and the congregation of B’Nai Adath Kol Beth Yisrael are asking for the community's help.  They've started a go fund me page to raise the 1 and a half million dollars needed to repair the damaged building. The synagogue went up in flames last month just as renovations were about to begin.

"As heart broken as we were to see the fire, it warms our heart greatly to see the out pouring of support...to know that we are not alone in this process," said Rabbi Baruch Yehudah.

Police arrested a 71-year-old in connection to the fire. They say the roofer was doing illegal torch work and accidentally set the blaze.
