A deep fried donation will help make for a happy Thanksgiving for some families in need.

Churches United For Fair Housing and other organizations donated 100 deep fried Cajun turkeys to families living without a stove.

The group spends the three days before Thanksgiving cooking.

The turkeys are delivered to soup kitchens and pantries throughout Brooklyn and are then distributed to families that signed up to receive the pre-cooked bird.

"There is a lot of poverty, and a lot of homelessness, and a lot of difficulty and we figured lets at least try to make one day an easy day," said CEO Joseph Solano.

Each turkey takes 45 mins to deep fry. The group also donated four hundred frozen turkeys.
