It's raining cats and dogs thanks to an event on Staten Island. 

Animal Care Centers of NYC held an adoption event on Friday at the Charleston Petco to get the word out about animals who need a new home.

Dogs and cats were able to interact with shoppers with the hopes of joining a family.
