A Brooklyn couple is spearheading an effort to allow open strollers on city busses.

Eran Livne and his wife say they're frustrated by the current ban and have started an online petition asking the MTA to do away with it.

Eran says having to remove his 21 month old daughter from her stroller and then collapse it is not only inconvenient but unsafe.

"A single mother of twins, I don't see how it's even possible, forget the shopping and the bags. You know, just lift two kids up and fold a double stroller is absolutely impossible," said Livne.

Livne says more than 1,000 people have already signed their petition.

"We will consider solutions that balance the needs of parents with the realities of adhering to strict safety requirements for passenger movement," the MTA said in a statement.
