Police in Manhattan are looking for three women they say beat up another woman during a subway robbery over the weekend.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. Saturday inside the Union Square subway station on the L line.

Authorities say the trio approached the 19-year-old victim and took her purse as they got onto the train.

The victim asked for her wallet back.

When the train got to the last stop at Eighth Avenue, police say they punched the woman in her face and body before they took off.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she was treated.
