Police say a person of interest is in custody in connection with a string of sexual assaults in Brooklyn that occurred Tuesday morning.

Police say the suspect held a 29-year old woman at gunpoint and sexually assaulted her near Fountain Avenue and Linden Boulevard in East New York around 6:50 a.m. Tuesday.

Then, just a half hour later, authorities believe he tried to assault a 15-year old girl near Sutter and Lincoln avenues, but the girl was able to flee.

Around 9 a.m., police say he assaulted another woman on Jerome Street near McClancy Place.

Police say no charges have been filed.
