The city is taking steps to improve safety at some public housing complexes in Brooklyn.

Some 1,800 new LED light fixtures have been installed in the Ingersoll, Van Dyke, Tompkins and Brownsville Houses.

NYCHA says they make the complex entrances, walkways, and parking areas much brighter.

It's part of the city's $140 million Action Plan for Neighborhood Safety, which was established back in 2014.
