A man was killed in a freak accident while parking his car in Brooklyn.
It happened just before 10 a.m. on 7th Street by Kings Highway in Gravesend.
Police say 52-year-old Xin Lin Zheng put his head out the window while in reverse and got his head stuck between his car and a tree.
When cops arrived, they found the Hell's Kitchen resident unconscious from head trauma.
He was rushed to a local hospital where he died.
People we spoke to say Zheng's nearby store made him a constant presence in the neighborhood.
"You never believe that it's going to be somebody that you know," said one resident. "I see this guy when he opens, I see when he closes. I see him during the day. You know, I live right next to him. It's just really sad."
No other cars were involved, nor were any other reported injuries.
