The 3-year-old Brooklyn boy who was found severely beaten last week has died.
Jaden Jordan was discovered last Monday at an apartment in Gravesend.
He was taken off life support over the weekend.
The boyfriend of Jaden's mother is accused of beating the child.
Salvatore Lucchesse, 24, was arraigned on assault and child endangerment changes. Those charges are now expected to be upgraded.
The city's child welfare agency is under scrutiny over the case. The Administration for Children's Services said it received an anonymous report on the case, but the tipster gave officials the wrong address.
The Department of Investigation has been looking into oversight failures at the ACS since May.
