The family of an Ithaca College student from Brooklyn killed upstate last weekend is asking witnesses to come forward.

19-year-old Anthony Nazaire was one of two students stabbed early Sunday morning on the campus of nearby Cornell University.

Investigators say it happened as fights broke out after a student-organized event.

The other student stabbed survived.

A memorial filled with candles and mementos is growing outside of Nazaire's Flatbush home.

The victim's sister says she appreciates the public's support.

"We are truly thankful and just continue keeping Anthony's spirit alive," said Kiara Nazaire. "Keep praising him."

"What the family wants is justice," said attorney Sanford Rubenstein. "They want the perpetrator who committed this horrible crime, this killing, to be apprehended, held accountable and sentenced to life in jail."

Nazaire's family says he was an honor student studying business administration.

Funeral services will be held September 10 at Church of the Holy Innocents in Flatbush.
