Local artists helped brighten up the streets of Brooklyn Saturday with an 820-foot long mural.

Some of the borough's top artists took their paint brushes to a construction wall on Dean Street, between Vanderbilt and Carlton Avenues in Prospect Heights.

Behind the wall is the construction site for Pacific Park Brooklyn, a 22-acre planned community that includes apartments, stores, and outdoor space.

Organizers say it's part of their goal to promote public art.

"We're all just painting. We're painting murals. We're having a great time. I just want people to just like, you know, recognize that there's art everywhere and to be able to look up and just see something that's positive," said "Artist-in-Chief" Mike Perry.

"I think they're amazing. I like the color. As an artist myself, I'm getting inspired by the different shapes and, you know, color combinations they're using. It's just really cool," said one woman.

Construction on Pacific Park Brooklyn,  formerly known as Atlantic Yards, will be finished in 2025.
