A public school was one of the things promised to be built in the Atlantic Yards-Pacific Park development in Brooklyn, and now, its future home has been revealed.

The School Construction Authority says the elementary and middle school will be located in a yet-to-be-built residential tower on the northeast corner of Sixth Avenue and Dean Street. That's right next to Barclays Center and the Dean Street playground.

Officials say construction of the building, and the 616-seat school, will begin next summer.

Project developers had agreed to the plan years ago but hadn't settled on a location.

The plan still needs final approval from the SCA, the City Council and the mayor. A 45-day public comment period is underway.
