The three men arrested for allegedly plotting to travel overseas to join the terror group Islamic State were Brooklyn residents.

Federal officials said two of them, 19-year-old Akhror Saidakmetov and 24-year-old Abdurasul Hasanovich, lived in an apartment building in Midwood on 10th Street.

They said the third suspect, 30-year-old Abror Habibov, lived in a Brighton Beach building.

Neighbors of the men said they weren't eager to socialize.

"Quiet, very quiet, yes," said one neighbor of the man who lived in the Brighton Beach building. "And I say hi, and sometimes, he no say hi to me."

"Just say good morning, and they didn't respond, basically. So that was about it," said a neighbor the two men who lived in the Midwood building. "So I didn't think anything of it."

"It's always concerning when you're in a neighborhood and you don't know the people around you, but I mean, I think that's why people should get to know each other better. But people stay to their communities and don't interact with each other, so these things can get by."

Saidakmetov allegedly bought his airplane ticket to Turkey at Nil Travel in Sheepshead Bay.

The office manager, who spoke with NY1 (but not on camera), said it seemed like a routine transaction at the time.

"As far as I remember, he was totally normal," the manager said. "His acting, his appearance especially, was totally normal."

The super at the building in Midwood said he saw the two suspects who lived here leaving the building Tuesday night carrying luggage. He said they told him they were going on vacation.
