The snow proved to be a unique crime fighting tool in Brooklyn, helping officers track down a man who attempted to break into cars.
The NYPD tweeted out the above photo of footprints in the snow.
Officers say the trail led them to a man they say attempted to break into some parked cars in Midwood early Tuesday morning.
They were called to the scene by a community patrol, after witnesses say the man was spotted trying various door handles.
