Killer Heels: the Art of the High-Heeled Shoe

Still love stilettos? Good news! Brooklyn Museum has just extended its exhibition Killer Heels: the Art of the High-Heeled Shoe. The exhibit looks at the history of elevated footwear and how the phenomenon intersects with film, art and design. It is up now through March 1.

Lincoln Center Local in Brooklyn

Lincoln Center is expanding its Lincoln Center Local series. It is bringing free screenings of Lincoln Center performances to library branches across the five boroughs. This weekend, it is the Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger, Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Central Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library.

Free Goya Exhibit

A group of sketches by Goya were gifted to The National Arts Club back in 1994 but were mislabeled and packed away until being rediscover this summer. Now they are on view through the end of the month at the club at 15 Gramercy Park. Admission is free.

Great Lakes

At City Center, see "A Beautiful Day in November on the Banks of the Greatest of the Great Lakes." It's written by Brooklyn actor and playwright Kate Benson about the realities of large family gatherings. It runs through February 7. Tickets start at $35.

Parsons Dance at The Joyce

It’s a night of dance that will leave you amazed! Experience Parsons Dance at The Joyce Theatre now through February 1. Check the schedule for the mind-blowing dance “Caught.” There are also several family matinees. Tickets start at just $10.

Monday Nights at Birdland

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 60th Anniversary Season, once again partnering with Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company for its second annual Lunar New Year Celebration,
