A Brooklyn man is facing murder charges after police say he killed his wife and hid her body.
Authorities say 43-year-old Diana Rodriguez-Martin was last seen about a month ago at her Flatbush apartment, but she was not reported missing until this past Monday.
Investigators say her husband, 42-year-old Phillip Martin, killed her and then got rid of her body.
They say Martin admitted to dismembering her body and placing it in a dumpster, although he has not said where.
Neighbors we spoke with were shocked to hear about the killing.
"I don't believe it is I've been living here for quite a number of years and this is not indicative of the way we live in this neighborhood," said one.
"Very surprised, very surprised," said another. "I didn't think it was that bad, you know? It gets a little crazy but I didn't think it was that bad."
Police say in the past, they received reports about several instances of domestic violence between the couple, but neither were ever arrested.
They're still searching for Rodriguez-Martin's body.
