One of two people who pleaded guilty in connection with a gruesome murder in Brewerton in December 2016 learned their fate Monday.

Connie Ingoldby, 49, was sentenced to one to three years in prison for her role following the murder of Aikeem Hudgins.

Court paperwork showed Ingoldby confessed to helping with the removal and disposal of the body.

Hudgins' body was burned and dismembered after he was killed at the Bay Shore North Apartment complex.

The man responsible for the murder, 30-year-old Corey Slattery, pleaded guilty to murder.

He was supposed to be sentenced Monday as well, but that has been pushed back.

Hudgins' mother reacted with relief, but wants the sentencing so she can try to heal.

"It's going to be hard. It's going to be really hard. I waited a long time for his body and everything, but I’ve got to be strong for my kids too,” said mother Lorraine Richardson.

Slattery will be back in court for sentencing February 22.
