New Yorkers enjoyed bright sunshine and Summer-like warmth on Father's Day, and temperatures topped the 90-degree mark for the first time this month. In addition, the humidity remained low, and winds were on the light side.

More sunshine is in store for Monday, and temperatures will continue to rise as well. In fact, we could tie or break the record-high temperature for June 18th, 95 degrees, which was set all the way back in 1929.  The humidity will be on the increase as well, and some areas could see a shower or storm move through later in the day. Look for the humidity and storm threat to remain in place through Tuesday morning.

Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to return to more seasonable levels during the second half of the week. Afternoon highs will primarily be in the low 80s. Conditions should stay on the dry side Wednesday through Friday, but, a storm system could bring some wet weather for the weekend.
