The sunshine returned to the Big Apple just hours after a winter storm made its way through the area. Most locations saw about 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation, but, some areas to the north saw as much as 7 inches.

More sunshine is likely during the morning hours on Monday, but, clouds and scattered showers are in store for the afternoon hours. About a tenth to a quarter-of-an-inch of rain is expected in most areas. The rain should begin to taper-off during the late-evening hours, but, the clouds will remain and some fog may develop.

Looking ahead, some Spring-like warmth is expected to settle-in on Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to rise into the 60s and 70s, and we may even set some new record-highs across the area. The second half of the week is looking cooler and wetter, but, temperatures will still be above-normal.
