The umbrellas were needed once again on Sunday as a low-pressure system dumped between 1 and 2 inches of rain across the five boroughs. Conditions remained on the cool side as well, but, temperatures did break the 50-degree mark for the second straight day.

Monday is looking much drier, but, the temperature will be a few degrees lower than the last few days, and the winds will be increasing as well. Winds could reach or exceed 20mph at times in parts of the area.

Looking ahead, mostly sunny skies are in store for Tuesday, along with an afternoon high of 40 degrees. More sunshine is likely on Wednesday, but, another round of showers are possible on Thursday. Temperatures will rise into the low and mid 50s. The raindrops stay in place for Friday, but, it will be noticeably colder. Highs will drop into the low 40s.
