A high pressure system off to our south gave New Yorkers a bright and dry day on Saturday, but, it was quite cold out there as winds exceeded 20mph in parts of the area.

Sunday will be a completely different story however, as a storm system makes its way into the city. Clouds are expected to overspread the area by Sunday morning, and some rain is likely after the noon hour. The rain could be heavy at times later in the day, and a few areas of fog are possible. Temperatures will make their way into the 40s.

Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday look brighter and drier with afternoon highs in the mid 30s to near 40 degrees. Another round of wet weather is likely Wednesday afternoon, and it will be turning windy as well. Temperatures will rise to 49 degrees. The cold air returns on Thursday, as temperatures drop into the mid 30s.
