New Yorkers were treated to a bright and dry day on Saturday, as temperatures exceeded the 50-degree mark for just the fourth time this month. The winds kept conditions on the cool side though, as wind gusts topped 30mph in parts of the area.

More sunshine and above-average temperatures are in store for Sunday, but, it will be a few degrees cooler and less windy.

Looking ahead, the new work week is expected to start on a wet note. Monday won't be a total wash-out, but, we will see a shower from time-to-time. The bulk of the moisture is expected to move through the area on Tuesday, and some locations could see a downpour. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 40s to near 50. Wednesday and Thursday are looking brighter, but, colder.
