For tonight, expect mostly clear skies with a low of 17 degrees.

Sunshine will return tomorrow and although still below average, it will feel a lot better. Highs will be around 30.

Meanwhile, a powerful nor'easter will be developing. The low will originate in the Gulf of Mexico and could even bring snow as far south as northern Florida on Wednesday. By Wednesday Night snow and wind will be push up the east coast. We expect steady snow to impact the Thursday morning commute. Right now it looks like a 2 to 4 inch snowfall can be expected. As the storm strengthens, the wind will increase. This will cause blizzard conditions over portions of New England. For the city, the worst part of the storm will miss us to the east. However, an arctic blast and gusty winds will produce dangerous wind chills as cold as -10 to -20 later Friday night and into Saturday.

The cold will ease a bit early next week. Let's keep our fingers crossed for that. We could use a break.
