A low pressure system kept the five boroughs under the clouds throughout most of the day on Sunday, but, we did manage to get a few peeks of afternoon sunshine. It remained quite cold however, as afternoon temperatures were below-normal for the ninth time in the last ten days.

Look for the clouds to remain in place through the noon hour on Monday. A light rain shower or snow shower could move through at some point, and some locations may even see a brief period of sleet or freezing rain. Conditions are looking much drier for the afternoon, and we may even see a peek of sun.

After dealing with a few bouts of snow and unseasonably chilly conditions during the past week-and-a-half, temperatures are expected to increase to more seasonable levels over the next few days. Afternoon highs during the week will primarily be in the low to mid 40s, and we could see a few 50s as well. Conditions are looking dry for the most part, but, we could see some rain on Saturday.
