High pressure is holding on tonight and that will keep our skies clear in the short term. With mainly clear skies temperatures will settle to near 40 by Thursday morning. Thursday afternoon we will notice the wind picking up out ahead of a cold front. That cold front is the one that will bring the arctic air mass for Friday. As the front gets closer it'll become windy Thursday night. The passage of the front will occur Friday morning and that is when we expect temperatures to fall into the 30s. Temperatures on Friday will hold in the 30s all day long and with a gusty north wind, wind chills will easily be in the 20s at times. Record Low temperatures are possible Friday night as the city dips into the 20s!!

The cold air sticks around for Saturday. Despite lots of sunshine our highs will barely reach 40. By Sunday the cold air will begin to quickly retreat and our temperatures will return to more seasonable levels.
