Mayor Bill de Blasio is gearing up for a trip to Iowa this week, stirring speculation about his future political goals.

The mayor is slated to fly to Des Moines on Tuesday morning to give the keynote speech at a fundraising event for a left-leaning group in the state.

The excursion has stirred speculation that de Blasio may be eyeing a presidential run in 2020.

The mayor visited Iowa last year to campaign for former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

But he has repeatedly denied claims that he is making a run for the White House, saying he plans to serve out his full term as mayor, which does not finish until the end of 2020, a few months after the next presidential election.

NY1 Political Reporter Grace Rauh will be in Iowa to cover de Blasio's visit, and her first report airs Monday night.
