One Queens commercial property owner is relieved after NY1 For You helped her to clear up a costly error. NY1's Susan Jhun filed the following report.

Navieta Ramasami says she was trying for months to get an issue resolved before she reached out to NY1 For You.

Earlier in the week, NY1 For You told viewers how the commercial property owner received a $1,000 violation from the city for failure to file a boiler inspection in 2012, a mistake Ramasami says was made by CitySpec, the company she hired to perform and submit the inspection.

"They never filed any paperwork for the inspection," Ramasami said.

Ramasami told us she contacted CitySpec back in June of 2014 and was told the matter would be taken care of within 30 days. That was the last time Ramasami said she was able to get a hold of anyone at CitySpec, and the violation was never resolved.

After Ramasami contacted NY1 For You, we checked with the Better Business Bureau and found a D rating for CitySpec for several unresolved complaints.

We contacted CitySpec, and after looking into the matter, the VP of Operations released a statement.

"We acknowledge there have been rare circumstances where paperwork was not properly reflected due to clerical related issues but safety was never tarnished for these inspections. We were unaware of the unanswered Better Business Bureau claims and have begun to address them immediately."

In response to our call, CitySpec finally resolved Ramasami's violation.

"I got a call from CitySpec, and they said they went down and paid the $1,000 penalty and the violation was dismissed," she said. "Thank you so much NY1."
