Local leaders and community groups in the Bronx are making sure immigrants know their rights especially now when their future in this country is uncertain.

Councilman Andy King hosted a Day Of Action march and immigration forum Saturday in Allerton. The forum was held at the Albert Tuitt Educational Campus.

People attending the forum discussed immigration reform, DACA, and the citizenship process.

Organizers say it's time to focus the conversation on an immigration process that keeps families together.

"We're now in 2018, we have people. America welcomes everyone across the globe but there are a lot of people of color who struggle to become a citizen," said Councilman Andy King.

Attorneys from the CUNY Citizenship Now! group were also at the event to offer free legal services and answer questions about immigration.
