A brewery in the Bronx is turning drinking beer into an art form.

The Bronx Brewery has released a new series of beers called ‘Up and Comers.’ Six local artists designed the cans.

Some specialize in oil painting, graffiti and murals.

The designs are the artists' interpretation of the ales.

This is the first time the brewery has worked with the local art community.

"We wanted the artist to feel themselves, you know we didn't tell them what to paint, it wasn't like a paint by number. We really wanted them to sort of bring it to life, " said Patrick  Libonate, Vice President of Marketing, Bronx Brewery.

The brewery plans to continue the program next year.
