A funeral was held Friday morning for a Bronx high school cheerleading coach who died in a car accident last weekend.
Loved ones and members of the Cardinal Spellman High School community gathered the night before to remember Michele Muccio at the Ralph Giordano Funeral Home in Pelham Bay.
Muccio was driving on I-95 near the Bartow Avenue exit Saturday night when police say she was cut off by another car.
She lost control of her SUV, which the slammed into the curbline and flipped on its side.
Muccio died at the scene.
"She was just a very dear, very nice person. Much loved, and I'm so sorry for their family," said one mourner.
"Very active at Cardinal Spellman High School with her daughters. I feel sorry feel the three girls, I know she's got three girls," said another mourner.
Muccio's 16-year-old daughter was in the passenger seat and was taken to a local hospital.
Investigators are still looking for the driver.
