ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The intense fire which destroyed a house on Tubman Way in Rochester started when a lit candle came in contact with a Christmas tree, which someone was moving outside the houme.

A woman inside managed to get out on Saturday but was unharmed. A pet cat died in the fire. Firefighters said two people were displaced.

Firefighters had to battle the fire from outside because of the intensity of the flames.
